The Motive
I started MarketLens shortly after beginning business school, inspired by my own experience as an investor. I noticed that many people my age weren’t regularly engaging with business news, not because they weren’t interested, but because it often felt overwhelming, biased, or difficult to navigate.

In the past, I received most of my market updates from social media. However, I realized how difficult it was to separate real insights from opinions, agendas, and noise. A 2024 Gallup poll found that only 31% of Americans trust the mass media to report news fully and fairly, and that really resonated with me.

I started Ahead of the Curve to create something different. I wanted to provide a resource where business and economic news could be presented in a straightforward way without unnecessary commentary. I’m not a journalist, just someone who loves researching, writing, and making sense of the markets. Occasionally, I add my own analysis to help connect the dots between economic/financial trends and investment decisions.
